Remy Ma Ends Nicki With "Shether"
Remy Ma annihilates Nicki Minaj with a scathing diss track called "Shether."

This is getting a little dull. Nicki Minaj takes aim at Remy Ma (again) on David Guetta’s “Light My Body Up.” In fact, the first verse is dedicated to her rival. “I just started my sentence like a capital letter,” the rapper spits. “Got bars for years, I hope you send me a letter.” Just in case there was any doubt who she’s referencing, the 34-year-old fires off this barb: “Twenty million when you ain’t put out no album or tours.” I feel like this should have been channeled into an immediate, solo response to “Shether” instead of polluting this otherwise cheerful banger.

The rest of the track is fairly standard Euro-house with a fluffy, hands-in-the-air chorus and a surprisingly dated trap breakdown. “Light My Body Up” is easily Nicki’s weakest collaboration with the French DJ, but their track record speaks for itself. 2011’s “Where Them Girls At” peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, but their other two collabs, “Turn Me On” and “Hey Mama,” cracked the top 10. This time around, they rope in Lil Wayne for a little extra flavor. Watch the lyric video below.
