It’s a big week for the Children of Destiny! Kelly Rowland released a book on motherhood called Whoa, Baby!, LeToya Luckett announced her first album in eight years and now comes news that LaTavia Roberson is preparing to drop her debut single. The 35-year-old singer, who has appeared on R&B Divas: Atlanta and Real Housewives Of Atlanta, has been hinting at the release on Twitter for some time.

LaTavia has spoke about her departure from the iconic girl group in a recent interview with People. “I never left Destiny’s Child,” she revealed. “That is something that people say. But who would leave Destiny’s Child? That’s crazy! I was dismissed from the group.” It was a tough blow for the then-teenager. “It was almost like a bad divorce — you’re no longer with your friends, people that you love so much… and then being by myself at that time, when other aspects starting taking ahold of me. It lead me into a depression.”

With a book deal and a belated solo debut single, it sounds like everything worked out for LaTavia in the end. Relive the magic of “Bills, Bills, Bills” below.
