Justin Bieber's 'Purpose': Album Review
We review Justin Bieber's chart-topping 'Purpose' album. Read our thoughts.

Justin Bieber fired up his Instagram this afternoon (April 12) and shared a series of arty, black-and-white studio pics. He couldn’t be bothered captioning them, but manager Scooter Braun reposted one with the message: “The world has no idea!!” I wouldn’t be surprised if the pop star’s 5th LP is a lot further along than fans think. New tracks are being registered and a series of snippets (“What You Wanna Do,” “Without You” and “It’s All Gonna Be Okay,” among others) have surfaced online, although they are most likely from the Purpose sessions.

Expectations are going to be high for JB5. Purpose pulled a FutureSex/LoveSounds, elevating Justin from teen idol to demographic-busting superstar. The album produced three number one hits (“What Do You Mean?”, “Sorry” and “Love Yourself”) and selling 1.8 million copies. Perhaps even more impressively, it was nominated for Album Of The Year at the 59th Grammy Awards in an unusually competitive year that saw Rihanna, David Bowie and Radiohead miss out on nominations.
