Paramore Introduces New LP ‘After Laughter’ With “Hard Times”

Paramore has announced After Laughter, its first album since 2013’s self-titled, with lead single “Hard Times” (above).

With its disco undertones and Afropop guitars, this isn’t the searing pop punk from Riot. But Paramore still has some edge — just listen closely. “Tell me that I’m alright / that I ain’t gonna die,” singer Hayley Williams deadpans. “All that I want / is a hole on the ground / You can tell me when it’s alright / for me to come out.”

After Laughter is out May 12 on Fueled by Ramen. Drummer Zac Farro has also returned to the fold, after he and guitarist brother Josh Farro quit the band in 2010.

Paramore has also announced its Tour One, which kicks off June 15 in Dublin, Ireland. See the dates below.
