Vanessa Hudgens has released the video for her trippy, electro-pop single "$$$ex."

She’s back! Vanessa Hudgens will make a glorious (I hope) return to pop on Friday — pencil April 21 in your diaries — with a feature on Shawn Hook’s “Reminding Me.” The Queen of Coachella has dabbled in music occasionally over the years, releasing music with girl group YLA and starring in Grease Live, but this is the 28-year-old’s first official single since 2008 bop, “Sneakernight.” Which was disparaged upon release, but is now considered to be something of a cult classic. At least, by me.

Ok, enough reminiscing. Let’s talk about Vanessa’s duet partner. Well, Shawn is a Canadian pop star signed to Hollywood Records. He had a pop radio hit with “Sound Of Your Heart” last year and followed it up with a track called “Relapse.” His latest sounds like a moody affair from the snippet the High School Musical singer/actress posted on Twitter. It sounds like a somber piano ballad, possibly about a break-up. Hopefully, this is the start of a pop comeback for Vanessa. See her tweets below.
