DJ Khaled Features Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne & Quavo In “I’m The One”
DJ Khaled‘s latest blockbuster collaboration is here. Two months after teasing its video, he premiered “I’m the One” featuring Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Chance the Rapper and Quavo. The video is as ridiculous as can be. Asahd Khaled, the DJ’s 6-month-old son and executive producer, sits at the director’s chair with a gigantic stuffed lamb. One guest rides up to the mansion party on a white stallion. Everyone’s croquet form is horrible.
But the song itself is surprisingly easy to digest. Its three rap features make it feel close to feeling overstuffed, though just barely. The production is little more than a springy bass and chipmunk soul-type cooing. Between that, and Justin’s boyish singing at the hook, “I’m the One” is almost as frothy as Katy Perry‘s new single “Bon Appetit,” which also features Quavo as part of Migos. Between this, and Beyonce and Jay Z collab “Shining,” DJ Khaled is winning this summer.
