Niall Horan Talks His Debut LP
Niall Horan says his debut LP was influenced by Fleetwood Mac & The Eagles.

Niall Horan dropped the second single from his still-untitled debut LP yesterday (May 4) and it’s something of a surprise. The stripped-back, folk sound of “This Town” has been replaced by a throbbing bassline and sexy lyrics on “Slow Hands.” It turns out the Brit was heavily influenced by the ’80s. “I’m so happy to be releasing ‘Slow Hands,’ Niall says of the Julian Bunetta-produced anthem. “I’ve been listening to a lot of early 80’s stuff lately and been inspired by that heavy bass and the funky guitar sound. It’s another flavor to my album that I’m excited to share.”

As much as I liked “This Town,” the former 1D member’s latest is definitely more attention-grabbing. “We should take this back to my place, that’s what she said right to my face,” he begins the song, before arriving at the sexy chorus. “Slow, slow hands, like sweat dripping down our dirty laundry,” Niall croons. “No, no chance. That I’m leaving here without you on me.” The 23-year-old has been actively promoting the song on social media, including a shirtless sing-along on Snapchat. Watch that and stream the full song below.
