‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star Lala Kent Drops Club Banger “Boy”
Reality TV stars launching music careers is nothing new, but Bravo is especially prolific when it comes to this unique art form. While the Real Housewives was once known as the network’s most musical franchise, Vanderpump Rules, a show about feuding waitstaff in Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant SUR, is giving the likes of Countess LuAnn and Erika Jayne a run for their money. Following Scheana Marie and DJ James Kennedy, the latest server to hit the stage is the scandalous Lala Kent.
The 26-year-old teams up with Basketball Wives L.A. diva DJ Duffey (seriously) on the sultry sax-driven banger “Boy.” “Let me know if I can fuck with you boy,” Kent coos over twinkly EDM. “Ooh you know my sex is amazing.” It’s a pretty standard commercial club number, but not in a Chainsmokers way — more like old-school Alexandra Stan, if you consider that a thing yet. Lala still has a long way to go before she can fill Erika Jayne’s shoes, but “Boy” is certainly better than her James Kennedy collaboration “Feelin’ You,” and that’s worth commending.
