Selena Gomez Reveals The Cover Of New Single “Bad Liar”
It’s official. Selena Gomez’s new single drops May 18. The pop star confirmed the release date when she posted the cover of “Bad Liar” on Instagram. It depicts the 24-year-old lying on rocks in a cotton sundress with the title written on her thigh. It’s mysterious, sexy and a little unsettling. If this is any indication of the song and video, Selena is really pushing the envelope this era. And she’ll need to given the intense competition. Other acts dropping songs on that date include Liam Payne, Iggy Azalea and… Frankie Grande.
Here’s what I know about the song thus far. Selena co-wrote the bop with Justin Tranter, Julia Michaels and Ian Kirkpatrick. It’s rumored to sample a classic ’80s pop song and isn’t a diss track, as some fans have guessed from the title. In fact, it’s said to be the opposite. The “Hands To Myself” diva is due to release the follow-up to Revival in the fall. She has been in the studio with the above-mentioned hitmakers as well as Jacob Kasher and Ryan Tedder. See the striking cover art below.
