Katy Perry Announces New Album 'Witness'
Katy Perry has officially announced her 4th studio LP. Witness will be released on June 9.

Katy Perry dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show today (May 16) and spilled a lot of tea. For starters, the pop star explained how she peed in that Met Gala gown (I didn’t even know this product existed!) and opened up about her new album. “The album is called Witness and it’s available June 9th and I’m so excited about it,” she raved. “Right now, I think you’re just seeing parts of the body of work and that part is kind of like the sexually empowered and liberated part,” the hitmaker said in reference to new single, “Bon Appetit.”

“So ‘Chained To The Rhythm’ was kind of like the mental, political liberation and this one is kind of like that sexual liberation because I’m now embracing my 30s, which I think is so bomb dot com, I love it so much,” Katy continued. “I love being a woman and I love a consensual interaction. There is nothing wrong with that. We’re all animals.” The “Switch” fan then confirmed that she will be a judge on the upcoming reboot of American Idol. “Judge not lest he be judged, but they didn’t say anything about constructive criticism and I’m good at that,” she quipped.
