Selena Gomez shared a snippet of 'Bad Liar' and a controversial new promo pic.

And she’s back! Selena Gomez’s “Bad Liar” arrives tonight and it’s a deceptively catchy bop that stands out as an instant Song Of The Summer contender. The relatable anthem finds the pop star obsessing over a guy after chance encounter. “I was walking down the street the other day, trying to distract myself,” she sings over a throbbing sample of Talking Heads’ 1977 classic “Psycho Killer.” “Then I see your face, Ooh, you got someone else.” What’s a girl to do in this annoying situation? Steal him, of course!

“Trying to play it coy, trying to make it disappear,” Selena sings. “But just like the battle of Troy, there’s nothing subtle here.” Just when you think the “Hands To Myself” hitmaker is really going for a less-is-more approach, “Bad Liar” explodes at the chorus. “I’m trying, I’m trying, I’m trying not to give into you,” she coos. “All my feelings on fire, guess I’m a bad liar.” The 24-year-old co-wrote the track with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter (the team behind most of Revival) and Ian Kirkpatrick.
