Normani Kordei lets slip that new Fifth Harmony music is ''coming very soon.''

Normani Kordei placed third in last night’s Dancing With the Stars finale, despite a standout season and receiving a perfect score. The Fifth Harmony member reacted to the results as we expected — with grace, but also some honesty.

“You’re never really guaranteed,” Normani told Entertainment Tonight. “It was quite a shocker for me as well. But I’ve gained so much from this experience. I’m so happy, and I can’t even begin to express you know the gratitude that I carry and the blessing especially because I have a lifelong friend now [in dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy].”

Normani was just as poised when the results were read. But the ballroom crowd booed. Reactions on Twitter, from both Fifth Harmony fans and industry peers like Dawn Richards (“even when you consistent it’s not enough”), echoed their displeasure. Today (May 24), the rest of 5H sent Normani a congratulatory message via Good Morning America, though with bandmate Lauren Jauregui mouthing “You’re the real winner.”

This year’s winner is NFL player Rashad Jennings, who just confirmed that he is joining the DWTS summer tour. And Normani couldn’t be happier for him. “I’m proud,” she said to ET. “That’s like, my big brother. He’s worked his butt off. I think any one of us would have been deserving. So kudos to him.” Watch her interview in full below.
