Miley Goes Country On "Inspired"
Miley Cyrus goes full country on new single "Inspired." Listen to the twangy ballad.

Got beef? Miley Cyrus is in the hot seat with acclaimed fashion house Dolce and Gabbana after sharing a post on Instagram congratulating her brother for walking in their Milan fashion show this weekend. “It’s never been my little brothers dream to be a model as HE is one of the most talented musicians my ears have ever been given the gift of hearing… BUT it is a Cyrus family trait to try everything once (within reason HA),” Cyrus wrote of Braison Cyrus alongside of photo of her baby brother on the runway.

Her sweet message took a turn for the slightly shady with the addition of a message for the fashion house. “PS D&G, I STRONGLY disagree with your politics… but I do support your company’s effort to celebrate young artists & give them the platform to shine their light for all to see!” It’s unclear exactly what politics she disagreed with, but the Bangerz diva seemed to be offering the brand a compliment regardless of their differences. Unsurprisingly, that is not how the brand interpreted things.

Not to be outdone, Stefano Gabbana, founder of the famous fashion house, clapped back at the “Malibu” songstress. Reposting Miley’s photo, he delivered a scathing response to the artist’s critique in two languages. Bi-lingual shade ensues. “We are Italian and we don’t care about politics and mostly neither about the American one,” he wrote, adding “if you think about doing politics with a post it’s simply ignorant.” His original post threatened that the brand would sever any professional relationship with Braison, but it has since been removed.

Gabbana ended his post with the hashtag #BoycottDolceGabbana, which may seem a little contradictory; however, it’s actually a plug for a line of shirts the brand has released that plays on their controversial politics. Guess that’s one way to maximize exposure. He also threw a lot of shade at Miley on his Instagram story. Gabbana’s response does seem a little extreme all things considered, but I guess that’s fashion, baby. See the posts below.

Congrats @braisonccyrus on walking in your 1st runway show…. It's never been my little brothers dream to be a model as HE is one of the most talented musicians my ears have ever been given the gift of hearing…. BUT it is a Cyrus family trait to try everything once (within reason HA) and to embrace opportunities that encourage you to step out of your comfort zone! We believe in trying something new everyday! I love you Prince Suga Bear and seriously congratulations on your experience! I am so proud of you always…. From Nashville to Italy! 👑❤️👑❤️👑❤️ PS D&G, I STRONGLY disagree with your politics…. but I do support your company's effort to celebrate young artists & give them the platform to shine their light for all to see!
