Meghan Trainor's 'I'm A Lady' Is Cute
Meghan Trainor bounces back with catchy Smurfs single 'I'm A Lady.'

I miss Meghan Trainor! The thinking man’s pop princess delivers cute bops (see “Lips Are Movin,” “NO” and “Me Too”) and they are increasingly hard to find in 2017 — a time when the phrase “less is more” is being taken way too literally. No doubt, Meghan is locked in a studio somewhere plotting a comeback. While we wait for her next single to drop, here’s a little something to keep you occupied. She co-wrote a track called “Superstar” for newcomer Chloe Jane.

Of course, when Meghan’s not penning smashes for herself, she’s writing them for other artists. Think Fifth Harmony’s “Sledgehammer” and Jennifer Lopez’s “Ain’t Your Mama.” Like those tracks, “Superstar” is immediately identifiable as one of the bass-loving diva’s creations. It’s a light and fluffy tune with an empowering message and killer chorus that has been tweaked to suit a 14-year-old. Hence lyrics about taking selfies and make-up tutorials. Watch the video, which finds Chloe strolling around New York in a silver bodysuit, below.
