The Voice of The Cranberries: Dolores O’Riordan

Dolores O’Riordan was the fierce-as-anything front woman for the ’90s rock outfit the Cranberries. Her voice helped to define the band’s sound and catapulted them into mainstream rock success. Her sexy style certainly didn’t hurt, but her writing chops are what make her one of the hottest frontwomen in rock history.

She wrote the band’s biggest, most recognizable hits “Linger” and “Zombie,” which perfectly showcased her amazing voice and cemented the band’s signature sound. O’Roirdan is the reason the Cranberries are the Cranberries. Sadly, O’Rierdan died suddenly in a London hotel on January 15, 2018. A cause of death was not immediately available but her publicist reported that everyone was shocked and devastated by the news.
