The Drop: Alma & DeJ Loaf
Your guide to New Music Friday featuring bangers from Alma and DeJ Loaf.

DeJ Loaf’s “No Fear” has all the ingredients to be a surprise summer smash. A sugary sweet, loved-up bop with a mood-lifting chorus and breezy production, the 26-year-old’s latest is the perfect soundtrack for quiet moments of reflection. Or a night at the club. Actually, this just sounds good anywhere. The singer/rapper drops the visual today (June 28) and it’s something of a blockbuster. Directed by rubberband, the clip begins with DeJ daydreaming in her bedroom, before literally drifting away on her mattress.

“Growing up, I used to daydream in my bedroom about everything from love to my career to traveling the world,” the #AndSeeThatsTheThing artist explains. “The video sort of reflects that joyful feeling of going from daydreaming to realizing my dreams. My new album is a personal journey and I hope my fans enjoying riding along with me.” In addition to cruising the open road on her bed, there’s a cute animated sequence that takes place in DeJ’s brain and a mini-hang with friends. Watch the spectacular video up top.
