Macklemore’s Grandma Gets A Lapdance In His “Glorious” Video
It looks like Macklemore has a hit on his hands with “Glorious.” The uplifting track, which features Skylar Grey, is steadily gaining ground on pop radio and the soon-to-go-viral video will only help its cause. Directed by Jason Keonig, the clip finds the rapper surprising his grandmother on her 100th birthday. He treats happy-go-lucky Helen to a day on the town, indulging in a little shoe shopping and minor vandalism. They also buy new threads at a thrift shop and stop by a karaoke bar to belt out a couple of tunes.
The most surprising moment comes, however, when Helen and her friends are surprised by a male stripper. They ladies don’t get to see much flesh, but it looks like they had the time of their life. “Glorious” is the third taste of Macklemore’s second solo LP (he independently released a set called The Language Of My World way back in 2005) after streaming hits “Drug Dealer” and “Wednesday Morning.” Watch the life-affirming visual up top and check out an impressive live performance below.
