Martin Solveig and Alma’s “All Stars” does the impossible — it stands out in a summer littered with high-profile club collaborations. From the feel-good lyrics to the soaring chorus and bone-rattling beats, this is a three-minute rush of serotonin that will put a smile on your face and get your feet moving. The euphoric track also boasts a cute and colorful video.
There’s not a lot going on here. Alma exudes cool, while Martin camps it up against colorful backdrops. That’s about it. However, at a time when everyone seems to die in dance music videos (Zedd’s “Stay,” Kygo’s “It Ain’t Me” and “First Time”), something as fluffy as “All Stars” is a breath of fresh air. It’s also a fun introduction to the “Chasing Highs” diva. She is universally regarded as One To Watch in 2017 thanks to killer bops like this. Watch up top.
