Kesha Announces The 'Rainbow Tour'
Kesha is supporting her comeback album 'Rainbow' with a North American tour.

Kesha does it again. Every song from the Rainbow era has been a revelation and that trend continues with “Hymn” — a defiant anthem for outsiders that was inspired by the stories and struggles of her fans. “Even the stars and the moon don’t shine quite like we do, dreamers searchin’ for the truth,” the comeback queen begins the song over Ricky Reed and Jonny Price’s sparse, spacey production. “This is a hymn for the hymnless, kids with no religion,” she sings on the soaring chorus. “Yeah, we keep on sinning, yeah, we keep on singing.”

As with every other cut from the album, Kesha adds context via an essay, this time in Mic. “This song is dedicated to all the idealistic people around the world who refuse to turn their backs on progress, love, and equality whenever they are challenged,” she writes. “It’s dedicated to the people who went out into the streets all over the world to protest against racism, hate, and division of any kind. It’s also dedicated to anyone who feels like they are not understood by the world or respected for exactly who they are.” Listen below.
