Madison Beer’s “Dead” Gets A Massive Cedric Gervais Remix
Madison Beer completely reinvents herself on alt-pop anthem, “Dead.” After dropping a string of bright pop anthems and uplifting club collaborations, the 18-year-old decided to fire off a moody missive. “It’s about a situation myself and so many others find themselves in when you feel ignored and not loved in a relationship, yet you’re still hearing empty words like ‘I can’t live without you,’ and it tears you up inside so I wanted to make the anthem for staying strong through this moment and not taking any shit!”
The track has been well-received, racking up more than 12 million streams and spawning a sexy video with model Presley Gerber. “Dead” now gets the club treatment from Cedric Gervais, who is probably best known for his massive remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness.” The French DJ obviously know how to transform a gloomy bop into a banger, and he works his magic again — giving Madison’s viral hit a club and radio-friendly overhaul.
