Pink's 7th LP Is 'Beautiful Trauma'
Pink revealed the cover, title and release date of 7th LP, 'Beautiful Trauma.'

With the police sirens protests and high tension, Pink’s “What About Us” video has a documentary-feel in light of recent events. The outspoken pop star was always going to make a statement, but the Georgia Hudson-directed clip is ultimately a call for acceptance and togetherness than a mere rebuke. She conveys this by presenting her band of outsiders (a selection of minority groups are represented) as the heroes of the story. Despite the struggle, they ultimately win the fight by having each other’s back.

At least, that’s my interpretation. It should be noted that this is Pink’s most choreography-heavy video in years. While she leaves most of the movement to her dancers, the 37-year-old still takes part in the final dance breakdown. The pop star also pulls off a series of looks and rails against injustice on the top of a car. It’s moving and timely and yet another reason why she is a deserving recipient of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the upcoming MTV VMAs. Watch up top.
