The Drop: Annabel Jones & TYSM
Your guide to New Music Friday featuring bangers from Annabel Jones and TYSM.

With Spotify-conquering releases from Terror Jr, TYSM and Guard, EFFESS is shaping up to be one of the hottest labels of 2017. Reckless is the latest artist signed to the Atlantic imprint, which is co-run by Felix Snow and David Singer-Vine, and his new single is a stone cold bop. The Portland native injects a little hip-hop into the label’s signature future-pop sound and the result is a warm and fuzzy anthem that doesn’t get diluted in the weird and wonderful bleeps and beeps.

“I see you at the Wing Stop, my homie said to keep it rolling,” Reckless begins the song rather charmingly. “I heard you’re going to break my heart, but girl I’m gonna break dat.” From there the instantly catchy anthem descends into the chopped and twisted electronica that made Kiiara’s “Gold” a surprise smash and Terror Jr’s Bop City 2: TerroRising the thinking man’s party soundtrack of 2017. Reckless is definitely One To Watch. Listen to “Break Dat” below.
