Bjork Announces New LP
Well, here's some good news! Bjork is releasing a new album 'very soon.'

Bjork will introduce her still-untitled 9th LP with a new single called “The Gate.” The Icelandic iconoclast revealed the pearl-themed cover art and gave a brief description of the track on her website today (September 5). “‘The Gate’ is essentially a love song, but I say ‘love’ in a more transcendent way,” the 51-year-old states. “Vulnicura was about a very personal loss, and I think this new album is about a love that’s even greater. It’s about rediscovering love — but in a spiritual way, for lack of a better word.”

I guess that’s in line with her earlier description of the project as her “Tinder album” in an interview with Dazed. “I set myself up with the last album being a heartbreak album, so everyone’s gonna be like, ‘Are you married?’ with this one. But… it’s too fragile still. I think, if I could, I’d just say this is my dating album. Let’s just leave it there.” It looks like Arca is handling the production again, so Bjork’s latest is destined to be a wild ride no matter how loved-up she’s feeling.

“The Gate” drops September 18. A limited edition 12″ vinyl release (below) will follow on September 22. You can pre-order your copy here.
