The Chainsmokers Are Under Fire For Making A Racist Joke
UPDATE: The Chainsmokers have issued an apology. Check it out below.
The Chainsmokers have the midas touch when it comes to crafting radio-friendly bops, but they still have a lot to learn about media training. The duo felt the wrath of Little Monsters when they dragged Lady Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion” and grossed everyone out by revealing that their dicks measure 17.34 inches “tip to tip” (think about it), but it looks like they finally crossed the line during an interview in China. Alex Pall responded to a question about his dog in the least sensitive way imaginable.
“I try to but she’s like really ill behaved,” he responded to a question about bringing his furry friend on the road. “But I love her, I mean if she could come anywhere I’d bring her to… well I don’t know if I’d bring her to China.” The implication being that his dog might be eaten by locals. The gaff would have probably never been seen outside of Asia had they not decided to proudly tweet it out. Twitter was quick to point out that the joke was racist and their mentions have been in shambles ever since. See the interview and responses below.
