Toni Braxton Is Working On New Material
Good news! Toni Braxton is back in the studio and working on new music.

Toni Braxton revealed the eye-popping cover of her single on Instagram last night (September 11). The R&B diva’s new track is called “Deadwood” and it’s the first taste of her 8th studio album, Sex & Cigarettes. “I’m excited to be doing what I love doing,” the 49-year-old told The Insider. “The new album comes out at the top of the year and it’s called Sex & Cigarettes. I feel like I’m older, I want to say what I feel, I don’t want to be censored.” As for the lead single? Expect something seriously sexy.

At least from the video. “There is this guy in the video who’s super sexy,” Toni revealed. “I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of him. He’s great eye candy.” The Grammy winner’s cougar anthem (I’m guessing) doesn’t have an official release date, but it has to be soon. “Deadwood” will be her first single since 2012’s stand-alone “I Heart You.” Toni has been working on new music since at least 2015, so let’s hope it was worth the wait. The hitmaker’s last solo album, Pulse, dropped in 2010 and produced the singles “Yesterday,” “Hands Tied” and “Make My Heart.”
