Cardi B’s Impact! Blac Chyna Is Launching A Rap Career
Cardi B is arguably the breakout artist of 2017 with her major label debut single, “Bodak Yellow,” sitting pretty at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. That’s the highest-charting song by a female rapper since Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” hit the top spot in 2014. Given the song’s extraordinary success, it’s not surprising that she is inspiring fellow reality/social media stars to follow in her footsteps. The first in line, it seems, is Blac Chyna. The ever-controversial entrepreneur is currently in the studio cooking up hits.
TMZ broke the news that the 29-year-old is dabbling in rap. “She’s working with Mally Mall, the producer who discovered Tyga and helped launch his rap career, and she’s recruiting hip-hop stars to get on the mic with her,” their report reads. “We’re told some of the names include Yo Gotti, Tory Lanez, Jeremih and Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee.” If that’s the case, Blac Chyna isn’t playing. However, it should be noted that Cardi was on her grind for years with mixtapes and features. It’s not going to be easy to establish credibility without that background.
