CL's Debut US EP Is 'Lifted'
The 2NE1 rapper will release her much-hyped debut US EP in 2016. Read on.

Hell froze over, pigs flew and CL released new music last night. The K-Pop diva, who is the self-proclaimed “queen of album delays,” appears on the surprisingly lit My Little Pony soundtrack (other artists include DNCE and Sia). She contributes a perky anthem called “No Better Feelin’,” which is a shimmery dose of dance-pop. “I know that you got my back, don’t you know I got you like that,” the “Hello Bitches” singer coos over bubblegum synths. “I could fly when you by my side.” That takes us to the simple chorus: “Ain’t no better feelin’, ain’t no better feelin’.”

This isn’t going to win the 26-year-old a Grammy, but it’s child-appropriate and exceedingly cute. CL recently explained the (very) long gestation period of her debut album in a now-deleted Instagram post. She’s trying to figure out her sound, while dealing with personal issues. Hopefully, the budding hitmaker is back on track and ready to follow in the footsteps of K-Pop heavyweights like BTS and BLACKPINK, and make an impact on the US charts. In the meantime, there’s always “No Better Feelin'” to quench your thirst. Listen below.
