George Michael's 'Fantasy' Remixed
The late singer's popular B-side has been remixed by Chic legend Nile Rodgers.

George Michael’s first posthumous single arrived in September in the form of a funk-heavy “Fantasy” remix by Nile Rodgers. Next up is an album, Listen Without Prejudice/MTV Unplugged (due October 20), and a documentary called Freedom that the pop icon was working on at the time of his death. It looks back on his iconic “Freedom ’90” video, which was directed by David Fincher and starred a gaggle of supermodels including Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Tatjana Patitz, Christy Turlington and Cindy Crawford.

The late singer’s estate is teasing the documentary by sharing previously-unseen footage from the video that has literally been sitting in a vault for 27 years. You don’t see much of George, but it’s fascinating to watch the original supermodels doing their thing onset. It’s an important snapshot of ’90s culture and a reminder that George was always ahead of the curve visually. You can pre-order his new double album here. The Freedom documentary does not have an official release date as yet, but you can watch the new footage below.
