Rachel Platten Interview
We speak to the Rachel about new single 'Broken Glass' & her second album.

It’s a big week for Rachel Platten. She revealed the suitably serene cover of her sophomore LP, Waves, on social media yesterday (October 4) and has a new single called “Perfect For You” coming out on Friday. Let’s start with the former. The pop star’s artwork exudes a quiet calm as she poses in a pool of water. The album is due October 27 and features lead single “Broken Glass” as well as collaborations with songwriters Nate Cyphert, Jon Levine, Jason Evigan and Ian Kirkpatrick.

As for Rachel’s new single? It’s another upbeat pop anthem that moves her further away from the adult contemporary sound of Wildfire. “It’s true I can’t seem to shake it loose ’cause all this insecurity’s hurting me,” the singer/songwriter sings on the chorus over a throbbing bass-line. “Tired of trying to be perfect for you, I’m done jumping through hoops.” Check out the cover of Waves below and keep an eye out for Rachel’s latest on Friday.

My new album #WAVES is coming 10.27. GET READY. 🌊🌊🌊
