Charlie Puth's 'Attention' Video
Love goes very wrong in Charlie Puth's unhinged 'Attention' music video.

Charlie Puth rolled out the second single from his sophomore LP, VoiceNotes, earlier today (you can pre-order the album here) and, sonically, it picks up where “Attention” left off. “How Long” is another self-produced banger that dabbles in disco and FutureSex/LoveSounds electro-R&B. Lyrically, however, it tells a very different story. Co-written by Jacob Kasher and Justin Franks, the 25-year-old latest finds him apologizing for cheating. “I was drunk, I was gone, that don’t make it right,” he begins the song. “But I promise there were no feelings involved.”

That takes us to the chorus, which he sings from his pissed-off girlfriend’s perspective. “How long has this been going on?” Charlie asks over a wicked bass-line. “You’ve been creeping ’round on me while you’re calling me baby.” While “Attention” took a couple of listens to crawl under your skin, “How Long” is instantly addictive and could well turn out to be an even bigger hit. Which would be quite an achievement given that the first taste of VoiceNotes went #1 on pop radio and sold platinum. Listen to the future hit below.
