One of the more interesting pop developments of 2017 has been the race to find the next big boy band. Simon Cowell formed PRETTYMUCH to fill the gap in the market left by One Direction and they got off to a good start with “Would You Mind.” Also in the running is In Real Life, who cracked the iTunes top 10 with “Eyes Closed,” and Why Don’t We, a group that continues to widen its audience with every release. Also in the mix is Citizen Four, who have been dropping viral covers since 2016.

They dropped an original track called “Want You Back” earlier this year, before undergoing a line-up change (Mikey Fusco replaced Josh Levi). Citizen Four returns later this week with “Say It (My Name),” which interpolates Destiny’s Child’s seminal 2000 hit “Say My Name.” It had to happen eventually and the guys apparently have Beyonce, Kelly Rowland & Michelle Williams’ blessing. Check out the cover below. The track drops October 13.
