A Beginner's Guide To TWICE
Everything you need to know about flawless K-Pop queens TWICE.

With the likes of Girls’ Generation and Wonder Girls calling it quits this year, TWICE are now well and truly the new queens of K-pop. After a string of hit singles and record-breaking EPs, the nine-member group finally released their first studio album Twicetagram this week. Lead single “Likey” is the best thing they’ve ever done and proof that they more than deserve their title of Asia’s biggest girl group.

After briefly deviating from their signature sound on “Signal” and “Knock Knock,” “Likey” sees TWICE return to familiar territory with longtime collaborator Black Eyed Pilseung (the hitmaker behind “TT” and “Cheer Up”). While an ode to social media romance would be cringeworthy under normal circumstances, the always charming TWICE manage to capture the giddy fun of a good Instagram crush. Pilseung’s production is nothing short of bubblegum pop perfection, regardless of which language you speak, and the “me likey likey likey” hook easily gives Red Velvet’s “Rookie” a run for its money as the catchiest chorus of 2017. Bow down to the new queens.
