Sam Smith got the surprise of a lifetime while filming Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. The 25-year-old is amping up promo ahead of the release of his forthcoming LP, The Thrill Of It All, but one thing missing is a collaboration with Fifth Harmony. Luckily for him, Corden set up a meeting between the girl group and their biggest Harmonizer, and they commemorated it with their first ever joint performance.

After the “Too Good At Goodbyes” crooner performed some of his own material, the late night host turned the conversation to his fascination with the “That’s My Girl” divas. “When I hear them I feel free. I feel free, I feel alive. I feel like the woman in me is on fire,” he gushed before adding that “Work From Home” may be his wedding song. “I want to walk down the aisle to it in heels,” he said.

Obviously, the duo moved into a performance of the track, but James felt something was missing and invited the girls to join in on the ride. “Oh my God, this is my dream,” he announced as they all broke into a rousing rendition complete with choreography and vocal runs.

Sam and James kept things light through the remainder of the episode. The hitmaker opened up about his weight loss, joking that he planned to keep the weight off for ten more years before spending the rest of his life in caftans. He also reflected on his earliest beginnings, saying that James was one of the first people to highlight “Stay With Me” and talked about the time he cut school to attend a Lady Gaga concert.
