Rihanna’s 9th Album Era Could Begin As Early As Next Week

Rihanna Raps On N.E.R.D's 'Lemon'
RiRi shows off her rapping skills on N.E.R.D's first single in seven years.

EDIT: The news has been denied by Rih’s leading and usually accurate fan site.

The internet is buzzing with rumors that Rihanna is kicking off her 9th album era next week. Nowhere is fake news as warmly embraced as Stan Twitter, but there is a (flimsy) receipt. Genius shared the credits for a new RiRi song called “Louvre” with the release date of November 9. The lyrics-posting website occasionally posts unofficial and/or unconfirmed titles to get a jump on SEO, but this is surprisingly detailed. For starters, it lists the producers as Kuk Harrell (“Love On The Brain” and “Needed Me”) and Glass John (“Kiss It Better”).

Given those credits, it could just be an unreleased song from Anti. I guess we’ll know in a couple of days! In other Rihanna news, the superstar shows off her rapping skills on N.E.R.D’s “Lemon,” the hip-hop trio’s first single in seven, long years. She also received a glowing tweet from Cher (“so many fresh ideas coming from young artists”) and responded by calling the “Believe” icon “a true queen.” Check out the Genius post and that iconic Twitter exchange below.
