Taylor Swift's '...Ready For It' video is high on effects, low on plot.

Taylor Swift is amping up promo ahead of the official release of Reputation this Friday (November 10). So far the hitmaker has eschewed traditional interviews in favor of releasing a slew of buzz tracks and music videos. Today (November 7) she switched things up with the unveiling of a new photoshoot for HDD magazine and some behind the scenes videos from her Secret Sessions.

Over the last year the 27-year-old traveled the globe to share her new album with 500 of her biggest fans in a series called Secret Sessions. Although meet and greet photos from the events dominated social media, the listening parties were steeped in mystery. The new video reveals what went on behind the scenes and gives fans an opportunity to discuss their response to the project.

Unsurprisingly, the group bubbled over with adoration for the LP. “Every song is a freaking masterpiece, and we all were speechless,” one fan gushed while another struggled to pick a favorite track. Another praised his idol for taking risks and being unapologetically herself on what may prove to be her most revealing album yet.

The “Wildest Dreams” siren appears in the video, but the focus is entirely on her fans and their relationship with her. “I mean she just felt like my best friend. There’s no way to describe it. It was just everything I could have asked for,” one said about the opportunity.

The spread with HDD is also worth noting because it is one of her first photoshoots for the new era. On the cover she is rocking the slicked back hair and dark lips that defined the album cover. It is a relatively stoic picture, but it is an alluring first glimpse at what is to come. Hopefully an interview is attached to the shoot so that we have an opportunity to hear more about what went into the creation of the album.

After a rough start to the album campaign, Taylor seems to have turned things around in the last few days. It all started with her dreamy buzz track, “Call It What You Want.” The ethereal production softened the hard edges of lead single, “Look What You Made Me Do,” which proved to be a little too jarring for the general public. As she is preparing for Friday’s release it is nice to see her stripping back some of the attitude and making the project about her fans.
