Sophie Ellis-Bextor's 'Familia': Album Review
Is Sophie Ellis-Bextor's 6th album a return to form? Read our review and find out.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor has some exciting news fans. The much-loved Brit is releasing an orchestral greatest hits album in 2018. The album will cover her entire career, from her stint in The Audience to her string of turn-of-the-millennium dance hits and subsequent foray into folk-tinged pop. “My next album will be an album of my greatest hits reworked with an orchestra!” she tweeted. “I’m so excited about this project, which will be out in Spring 2018.” You can already order multiple formats of the opus here.

I love this idea, I just hope there’s a bonus disc with non-orchestral versions too. (Actually, I guess I can just make it myself on Spotify!) If anything, I’m surprised it has taken Sophie this long to released a best of. After all, there’s more than enough material to choose from. From “Murder On The Dance Floor” to “Bittersweet,” the 38-year-old has been one of the most consistent pop stars of the 21st century. Revisit a few of her classics below.
