Kesha & Macklemore's 'Good Old Days' Video
Macklemore and Kesha reflect on their pre-fame lives in their nostalgic new video.

It has been an usually busy week for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. Demi Lovato was the first superstar to drop by after the MTV EMAs, followed by Clean Bandit (including special guest Julia Michaels) and now Kesha. The comeback queen delivered a powerful cover of Marshmello and Khalid’s rising hit “Silence.” The emotional dance track is a perfect choice for her with its lyrics of empowerment and self discovery. “I found peace in your violence, can’t tell me there’s no point in trying,” she sings. “I’m at one, and I’ve been quiet for too long.”

The pink-haired pop star followed that up with a stripped-back cover of “Learn To Let Go,” which is all but confirmed as the second single from Rainbow after her brilliant performance at the MTV EMAs. Kesha’s latest interpretation of the song puts the focus on her criminally-underrated vocals and its message of healing. Given the success of “Praying” and the warm critical response to Rainbow, you have to think that she will feature heavily when the Grammy award nominations are announced on November 28.
