A Fraud?
In Renee’s filing, she cited her reasoning for the divorce as “fraud”. The media had a field day with what the usage of the word might mean. Soon, Renee herself had to clarify in a statement that the word was “simply legal language and not a reflection of Kenny’s character.” However, despite the clarification, it certainly didn’t stop people from speculating. Although, Kenny did later address the usage of the word in a 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper who said, “The only fraud that was committed was me thinking that I knew what it was like…that I really understood what it was like to be married, and I really didn’t.” The couples’ annulment was granted in December of 2005.
