A Pussycat Dolls Reunion Update
Nicole Scherzinger says the Pussycat Dolls reunion is 'closer... than ever before.'

Nicole Scherzinger all but confirmed that the long-rumored Pussycat Dolls is happening in an interview last week, but it might not be with the original lineup. Melody Thornton, for example, has reservations. “I think the Pussycat Dolls will reunite in the future,” she told The Courier Mail. “Whether I will be part of it all comes down to what I am doing at the time.” The 33-year-old then reveals the sticking point. “When it comes to my place in Pussycat Dolls, I didn’t sing as much as I would have liked to and, if we were to do it again, there would need to be teamwork.”

“But I love my former band mates, we built something together and I’m not ruling anything out.” In addition to wanting a larger role in the group, Melody is also focussing on her solo career. “I’m hoping to put something out soon,” she said. “It is stressful that a lot of things a label would have dealt with in the past I now have to deal with myself, which is overwhelming. But quality product is the most important thing – I don’t want to just produce microwave music because people love home-cooked, something with heart and soul.”

Apart from a couple of stand-alone singles, Melody’s last release was a mixtape called P.O.Y.B.L in 2012. Surely, a PCD reunion can only assist her solo endeavors. Read the full interview here.
