Nicki Minaj, Cardi B & Migos Get Hype And Futuristic For Their “MotorSport” Video
At long last a music video has been released to commemorate the first collaboration between rap’s leading ladies, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. The pair made history when they teamed up with hip-hop collective Migos on “MotorSport” earlier this fall. Today (December 7) they have finally gotten around to sharing a video, and it was definitely worth the wait. There’s just one problem. The two femcees never got together in front of the camera.
Instead, Nicki and Cardi filmed individual scenes to air during their verses. The Georgia-based trio open the Bradley&Pablo and Quavo-directed visual in a futuristic garage surrounded by some expensive cars and hype-women. The “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker appears next. Dressed in some modified racing gear she delivers seductive poses in front of a blazing red car. In a separate scene, Nicki delivers a high fashion look while posing in front of an impressive car of her own. Rocking her best metal corset and latex bodysuit with her floor-length pink hair in braids, she is the star of another striking visual. As the video comes to a close she and Migos ride off into a neon-lit city.
The music video could not come at a better time. “MotorSport” reached a quick peak in the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 due to the group’s combined star power. But it could climb much higher with the right promotion. Although Nicki and Cardi did not get a chance to interact in the video, fans will still be hungry to see them both in action. Fingers crossed Migos can get everyone together for a joint performance or two. If they manage to pull that off, the track is bound to go at least top 10. Until then watch them all in action up top!
