Charli XCX, Brooke Candy, CupcakKe & Pabllo Vittar Come Together For “I Got It”
Charli XCX’s Pop 2 mixtape continues to take shape with “I Got It,” a collaboration with Brooke Candy, CupcakKe and Pabllo Vittar. After delivering shimmery electro-pop perfection with “Out Of My Head” and PC Music madness with “Unlock It,” the Brit veers into hip-hop territory on her latest. “Big tits, double Ds,” the “Opulence” rapper begins the song over A. G. Cook and Umru’s rattling beats. “No silicone and no saline, jealous of me.” That takes us to the catchy yet infuriating chorus and Charli’s own spoken verse.
Next up is the pop star’s reunion with CupcakKe. The “Cumshot” legend goes hard, declaring: “Got a couple of bitches that want my attention, they acting real vicious but I’m not offended.” She’s followed by drag superstar Pabllo, who made a huge impression as the featured artist on Major Lazer’s all-star banger “Sua Cara.” At this rate, Pop 2 (due December 15) is not only going to be a killer listen, but also a showcase of underrated and/or upcoming talent.
