Britney Spears is getting ready to say goodbye to her Las Vegas residency, but she has one final surprise before the curtain closes. The pop princess will take the stage at Planet Hollywood for the last time this New Year’s Eve. To celebrate the occasion, she has teamed up with Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve to air a special performance during the high-profile televised event. The “Slumber Party” siren took to social media to announce the performance today (December 21).

“I’m saying goodbye to Las Vegas in 2017 with a special performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” she promised her fans in a recorded video post. Festive in a burgundy crop top, she also wished everyone a Happy New Year ahead of the event. The show airs on ABC and is hosted in New York City by Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy. Britney is in good company with her performance. Camila Cabello, Nick Jonas and Sugarland will take the stage at the main event, and Kelly Clarkson, BTS and other acts will beam in performances from parties across the country.

It seems likely that Brit’s segment on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will include portions of her standing Vegas setlist. However, there is hope that she may have a surprise ready for the event. Fans noted that she has incorporated a bit more choreography into certain numbers since resuming the show this Tuesday (December 19). She has also been known to break into unexpected covers, so we can expect the unexpected. Guess we will have to wait and see what she has in store for us. Check out her official announcement below!
