Coming Soon: Troye Sivan Teases A New Project With Spotify

Troye Sivan is kicking off 2018 with a mysterious new project, and it is dropping within the next week. The 22-year-old hopped on Twitter this morning (January 5) to encourage his New York City-based fans to run to Times Square for a surprise. He and Spotify teamed up to promote what appears to be a new musical release on a billboard in the midst of the city.

The billboard features a black-and-white picture of the hitmaker and promises that something is coming in six days. It is not exactly clear what we will be hearing, but hopefully he is readying the lead single to a new LP. After all, it has been more than two years since Troye unleashed his debut album, Blue Neighbourhood. We are due for a new full-length project soon, and it looks like he is ready to deliver.

So far, the “Heaven” crooner has remained fairly tight-lipped about any additional details. However, last night he pinned a teaser video to the top of his account. In the video, the word “My” flashes across the screen. Potentially this is the beginning of a song title, and every day he will tease a little more?

2018 is shaping up to be a big year for the budding hitmaker. On top of a new music project he will also appear in the film adaptation of Garrard Conley’s Boy Erased. The LGBT coming of age story is due for release this September, offering plenty of time to promote an album in the first half of the year Check out some of his tweets below!
