UK producer Jax Jones landed one of the biggest hits of 2017 with “You Don’t Know Me.” The fiery, RAYE-assisted banger went top 10 across Europe and sold more than one million downloads. He followed that up with “Instruction,” an equally hypnotic club track featuring Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don. The 30-year-old’s winning streak is set to continue this year with “Breathe” — a bone-rattling bop voiced by Norwegian singer/songwriter Ina Wroldsen. (She has written tracks for Britney Spears, Shakira and Anne-Marie).

“Breathe” has already racked up 20 million streams and is edging ever closer to the UK top 10. European success is a no-brainer at this point, but it could succeed where “You Don’t Know Me” and “Instruction” stumbled — by cracking pop radio in the US. While still very much club-orientated, this has a stronger pop sensibility. “You’re on my mind like a song that I can’t escape, I don’t know how many da-da-dums I can take,” Ina croons, before taking us to the killer chorus. “But now it’s hard to breathe, I’m not in love, it’s just a game we do.”

Watch the video, which puts dancers Shaadow Sefiroth and Shala Sarah Haruko Iwaskow inside London’s Natural History Museum, up top.
