Gwen Outgrew Her First Job
Today, Gwen Stefani is one of the most recognizable singer/songwriters out there. She’s experienced huge success as an artist — both with her band No Doubt and in a solo career. She once said that if she hadn’t made it as a musician, she would have been a makeup artist. But take a step back into her pre-fame days and Gwen was working at Dairy Queen, serving up Blizzards and burgers. She’s even said that she made her very first dollar at the fast-food chain. This was in her hometown of Orange County, California when she was a teenager. Gwen dished on the job’s perils during an episode of The Voice: “When I started there, I fit in my outfit. When I ended there, I did not fit in my outfit.”
