Linkin Park’s iconic name actually finds its origins in California. The platinum-selling artists named their band after Lincoln Park in Santa Monica. The name was created by Chester Bennington, the beloved lead singer who passed too soon. He would drive past Lincoln Park on his way to the studio, but found out that the web domain for Lincoln Park was already taken. Instead, they altered the spelling. It was simply a matter of practicality.
