Is A Collaboration Coming? Anitta & Rita Ora Hit The Studio
Well, this is interesting! Anitta hit the studio with Rita Ora over the weekend, leading to rumors of a collaboration. The Brazilian superstar shared a pic with the “Anywhere” hitmaker as well as songwriters Andrew Watt (Selena Gomez’s “Wolves” and Camila Cabello’s “Havana”) and Justin Quiles (J Balvin’s “Pierde Los Modales” and Maluma’s “Recuérdame”). If there was any doubt that they are working on something together, Justin also posted the happy snap with the caption “big tune on the way.”
Given the crossover success of Spanish-language bops like “Despacito” and “Mi Gente” and Latin-flavored bangers like “Havana,” it’s not surprising that we’re seeing more cross-cultural collaborations. And I can’t think of a better pairing than Anitta and Rita. They both have a huge international following and momentum on their side with a string of recent hits.
