Taylor Swift Announces The Release Date Of Her “Delicate” Video

Taylor Swift is likely hoping to find breakaway success with the selection of “Delicate” as the latest single from her Reputation era. Last week it was announced that the electro-ballad was being serviced to radio between March 12 and 13. Today (March 5), the 28-year-old revealed that the accompanying music video was dropping right before. In a video posted to her social media accounts she opened a hand-written note to share the details with her fans.

“Delicate music video world premiere Sunday, March 11 iHeartRadio Music Awards,” it read. This marks the second video premiere Taylor has scheduled around an awards show this era. Last August she rolled out her shady “Look What You Made Me Do” visual in the midst of the MTV Video Music Awards. It will be interesting to see if she makes an appearance this time around since she has kept a relatively low profile lately. The track could get double the exposure if she also performs, but we will have to wait and see.

Although the release is just a few days away, we do not know much about the “Delicate” video just yet. Frequent collaborator Joseph Kahn confirmed that he directed the visual, which was shot weeks ago. He worked with Taylor on the other three videos from this era so it is safe to assume another bold and vibrant production is on the way.

Fans are hoping “Delicate” will be able to replicate the success of the hitmaker’s pre-Reputation singles. Although “Look What You Made Me Do” reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100, it did not have much staying power. And each of the follow-up releases experienced diminishing returns. That could all change now, since the new track resonates more closely with the work she has done in the past. While we wait to see how it will perform, check out her announcement below!
