Dua Lipa's Arty 'IDGAF' Video
The pop star's arty 'IDGAF' video is a worthy followup to 'New Rules.'

Dua Lipa is shaping up to be one hell of a pop star. The Brit has the right look, charisma and, most importantly, music to make it all the way to the top. Her only weakness is converting the style and energy of her videos to live performances (that lackluster BRITS performance is exhibit A). Happily, she’s making progress on that front too. The hitmaker dropped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday (March 14) and belted out “IDGAF.” This time around, she literally recreated the arty visual.

The 22-year-old rocked an oversized suit as she maneuvered around the stage in different formations with her backup dancers. The colorful projects also helped add a bit of color and movement. I know that Dua’s performance style is low-key and casual, which works on well stage but seems a little halfhearted on TV. Not that it seems to be holding her back. “IDGAF” is coming along nicely with the track sitting just outside the iTunes top 50. It’s also gaining momentum on pop radio, recently cracking the top 30. Watch the rising star in action up top.
