PRETTYMUCH Have A Massive Pop Moment With “Healthy”

Rising boy band PRETTYMUCH keep things in motion with the release of their new single, “Healthy.” Last week the quintet comprised of Austin Porter, Brandon Arreaga, Edwin Honoret, Nick Mara and Zion Kuwonu rolled out their crafty “10,000” hours video. But today (March 16), they are ready to move on to their latest banger. Boasting another searing pop production and some creative lyrics, this is another exemplary release from the up-and-comers.

On the track, they are love-sick for a romantic partner. “And I’m sick thinking ’bout you when you’re not with me. No, this ain’t healthy,” they pronounce in perfect harmony on the opening lines. As the beat unfurls under them, they struggle to come to grips with their obsession eventually letting it all out on the chorus. “Nobody knows what it feels like. Nobody knows how to help me. And I’m starting to think there’s something wrong with me. This ain’t healthy.” Healthy or not, this sounds like another surefire hit from the group, especially as we prepare for the brighter days of summer.

Things are looking very bright for the boys who are hopefully honing a full body of work to drop in the near future. Since dropping the nostalgia-inducing “Would You Mind” last year, they have explored a variety of pop’s sub-genres to great success. “Teacher” was a futuristic bop, and they teamed up with French Montana on the hip-hop sampling “No More.” They also showed off their vocal chops with an a cappella production on “Open Arms.” With every new release we hear, it seems more likely a debut EP or LP is on the way. While we wait for confirmation give their latest a spin below!
